United Way Emerging Leaders of Portage County 

The Emerging Leaders of Portage County program is designed to work with the next generation of community leaders between the ages of 21 and 40 (or the sufficiently young-at-heart) who want to make a difference in their community and beyond. The group's top priority is to develop and encourage philanthropic and community involvement activities while providing peer-to-peer networking opportunities.

Members and their families participate in committees, networking events, volunteer projects, and leadership training opportunities. Members are educated on key community needs as well as initiatives that work to advance the common good.

To inspire individuals and young families to create a brighter future for themselves and their community by providing educational, networking and community engagement opportunities.

EDUCATE the community and yourself about local needs while enhancing your personal and professional skills.

NETWORK with community leaders, learn from your peers, share and gain knowledge through member events.

ENGAGE with the community and other members, volunteer to plan and implement projects, take the lead to help create everlasting change in our community.

Emerging Leaders Day of Action

Volunteer with other Emerging Leaders on the longest day of the year, more sunlight than any other day, and get a taste of what it means to LIVE UNITED.

We are partnering with Plover's Boys & Girls Club to create a program that is done in conjunction with their LEAP program, Literacy Enrichment & Arts Program. We will spend two hours with Club Members reading with them and doing an activity.
