Make A Difference Day
The Rake-a-Thon is Portage County's contribution to the nationwide, Make A Difference Day--and it can be yours too! Members of the community will come together to warm a heart and rake yards for residents who are physically unable to take on such a large task. Sign up to volunteer and do your part to Make a Difference!
Make a Difference Day will be held October 24, 2009.
Do you need help?
If you are elderly or have disabilities and would like to get connected to a team of volunteer rakers, simply register by October 10 using one of the following methods:
Registered participants will receive a confirmation the week of October 17. Please plan to be home on the event day, ready to give directions to volunteers and provide leaf bags. Participants are asked to be aware of any local ordinances regarding leaf disposal.
