Court Ordered Community Service
Court Ordered Volunteering Policy
If you have court-ordered community service hours to complete, you may be able to find opportunities through www.volunteersrock.org. You can search this online database from any computer with internet access. The data base includes agency contact information as well as position descriptions. Public computers are available at the Portage County Library. The Volunteer Center does not have the resources to provide personalized search support for court-ordered community service volunteers.
Additional Information:
Each agency has its own policies regarding acceptance of court-ordered community service volunteers.
You must notify any agency you wish to volunteer for that you have court-ordered community service hours to complete and provide information on the nature of your offense. The Volunteer Center recommends that you provide the agency with the Portage County Community Service Referral Form, which is available from the agency/court that assigned the hours.
Community Service Referral Form
Approved by United Way of Portage County Board of Directors November 2009.
